Musee du Louvre

The Musee du Louvre, also known as the Grand Louvre in English, is not only the largest national museum of France, but also a historic monument and a prominent landmark in Paris. It runs west along the Champs Elysees and is on the Right Bank of the Seine. The museum itself is housed in the Palais du Louvre and is open between 9am and 6pm every day except Tuesday. Admission is free on the first Sunday of every month.
