DHL, you have a customer for life

Moving homes can be such a chore because you need to know what to ship and what to pack into the luggage, and how to pack efficiently (easy in, easy out). You also have to forecast what you need for a few days while waiting for the shipment to arrive at the destination.
Initially, I thought the DHL Size 5 and Size 8 Jumbo boxes (picture below) would be enough. I was wrong and I had to call DHL again to request for the Express Pallet, which can be customized to contain 50kg, 75kg and 100kg worth of items. The box is self-assembled (doesn’t require a rocket scientist) and is supported by 3 beams at the bottom for added strength. To test it out, I (60kg) walked in the box. The 2 rectangular gaps, I assume are for the forklift to hoist the pallet.

Throughout the 2 weeks when I called DHL to ask for estimated shipping quotes to the time the boxes were delivered and subsequently picked up, I was on the receiving end of excellent customer service. The hotline was always answered within a few rings and someone on the other end would readily assist with whatever queries I had. To top it off, one of the staffers Mohd Safri personally attended to my shipment and made sure I got what I needed. The last time I used DHL a couple years ago, I also received great service. Thank you DHL, you have a customer for life.
DHL picked up my shipment this afternoon slightly after the expected timeframe because of a delay with an earlier collection. I had about 75kg worth of belongings (shirts, bags and shoes, etc.) in the Express Pallet, and 25kg of food (instant noodles, luncheon meat and tuna) in the Size 5 to be shipped as a separate package.

And, yes, I cleaned out (well, nearly) my entire wardrobe for the move.
